St Cassians Retreat Centre

Tuesday 17^th April 2018 saw 35 year 8’s and 3 staff travel to the Lasallian youth retreat centre, St Cassian’s, in Kintbury, West Berkshire.

De La Salle St Helens and Kintbury have a historically strong connection, as such the centre team welcomed us with open arms after the 6 hour journey down south.

Pupils spent their time participating in a range of teambuilding, sporty and relaxing activities all designed by the centre team around the theme of ‘Preconceptions’.

 

 

Pupils worked and socialised with people they do not normally spend time with and found new friends they would never have normally considered. Pupils and staff alike enjoyed the facilities, activities on offer and of course, the food!

The year 8 team have already booked for next year, when we will be taking another group of year 9’s.

 

 

De La Salle St Helens will be returning to Kintbury in the summer when we look forward to participating once more in the annual ‘Lasallian Camp’ weekend together with Lasallian schools from across the UK, Malta, Ireland and Poland!
