Year 10 Art trip to Liverpool Albert Dock

Year 10 art students took a trip to Liverpool recently to look at structures and messages found in architecture, art, daily life and in the beautiful array of locks attached to the railings by the River Mersey. The purpose of the trip is to record through drawing, annotation and photography, gathering as much information as they can to then develop further once back in class, adding more depth and meaning to their starting point, 'messages'. A selection of historical and contemporary pieces were viewed at Tate Liverpool including a piece of work by Jasper Johns, an artist studied in class this year. Our Year 10 students were fabulous on this visit and produced a wonderful variety of photographs and drawings which are now being developed further in class.
