This half term saw the visit of pupils from one of our feeder primary schools, Our Lady’s. Over 30 Y6 students performed a fantastic production of Julius Caesar to a packed hall full of eagerly awaiting Y7 children, families, staff, children from St Julie's and members of the school governing body.
The performance was simply stunning. For many of the visiting primary school students this was their first experience of live production.
All were in agreement that to perform such a difficult play in an unfamiliar hall was very brave indeed! The children were a real credit to the school.
The atmosphere inside the hall was electric. The costumes were fantastic and the conviction of the actors and actresses was to be commended.
The performance was followed up by a talk by a member of the junior Shakespearean company. This added to the overall experience really well.
A special mention goes to Stan Millea, our school technician, and his helpers from around school for the very impressive way in which the hall was lit and organised.
A big well done too to our Y7 children who behaved most respectfully in front of our visitors from the local community.
