De La Salle is committed to providing a comprehensive and fully inclusive careers education for all of our pupils from years 7 to 11, with a view to inspire our pupils to develop an understanding of the different career pathways and opportunities open to them.
In recognition for our commitment to CEIAG, we are lead school in the Liverpool City Region Careers Hub.
A Careers Hub is a group of secondary schools and colleges located in the same geographic area, who work together alongside partners in the business, public, education and voluntary sectors to ensure that careers outcomes are improved for all young people. In the Liverpool City Region (LCR), the Careers Hub will be working with approximately 80 schools to provide intensive support to enable them to meet the eight Gatsby Benchmarks.
De La Salle’s dedicated Careers Team works with their Enterprise Coordinator and their Enterprise Adviser from industry to further develop our whole school approach to Careers and Enterprise education. We have a Link Governor with a responsibility for CEIAG developments and an impartial and independent Careers Guidance Adviser who is qualified to the industry standard level 6 as prescribed by the Careers Development Institute.
Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) is regarded as an integral part of the holistic development of students at De La Salle School. We believe in educating individual pupils of all abilities, each to maximum of his/her potential, so that every student can enjoy a high quality of life and contribute responsibly and fully to the community.
