PE at De La Salle plays an important role in helping students grow into well-rounded young people who embody the school’s mission of “Teaching Minds and Touching Hearts.”

At De La Salle, the PE curriculum inspires students to develop confidence, resilience and a lifelong passion for sport and physical activity. Through a wide range of competitive and recreational opportunities, students are encouraged to achieve their personal best while building teamwork, leadership and respect for others. Throughout our student’s journey, students are given a broad and balanced curriculum that is underpinned by high expectations and a strong culture of involvement in the departments extensive extra-curricular programme. Extra-curricular is delivered through a combination of specialist PE staff, wider school staff and complimented by a range of high-skilled community coaches and club links.

At KS4, the department is a popular option subject that offers 2 courses that provide a broad examination offer with OCR GCSE PE and WJEC Sports Coaching.
